At Lea & Braze we specialize in providing comprehensive Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) services to support environmentally-responsible construction practices. Our commitment to protecting the environment and ensuring regulatory compliance sets us apart as industry leaders in stormwater management.
What is a SWPPP?
A SWPPP is a vital document and set of plans mandated by the Clean Water Act for construction activities that disturb one or more acres of land. It serves as a roadmap for conducting construction Best Management Practices (BMPs) and minimizing the discharge of pollutants from a construction site into nearby water bodies, safeguarding water quality and ecosystems.
PLAN DEVELOPMENT
Our team collaborates closely with clients and contractors to develop tailored SWPPPs that align with project goals and regulatory requirements. We conduct thorough site assessments to identify potential sources of pollution and implement effective BMPs to mitigate risks.
SITE INSPECTION AND MONITORING
We conduct regular site inspections to evaluate compliance with the SWPPP and identify areas in need of refurbishment. Our comprehensive monitoring programs include sampling and analysis of stormwater runoff before, during, and after rain events to ensure the effectiveness of BMPs, maintain regulatory compliance, and avoid unnecessary fines by the State.
TRAINING AND EDUCATION
We offer customized training and education programs to equip site personnel with the knowledge and skills necessary to implement the SWPPP effectively. Our training covers a range of topics including erosion and sediment control, spill prevention and response, and proper handling of construction materials.
REGULATORY COMPLIANCE ASSISTANCE
Navigating stormwater regulations can be complex, but our team of experts is here to help! We provide guidance in obtaining necessary permits, maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and addressing any regulatory challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
POST-CONSTRUCTION BPMs
Our services extend beyond the construction phase to include post-construction BMPs aimed at managing stormwater runoff from developed sites. We specialize in the design and installation to promote sustainable stormwater management practices.
