Dolores Park, San Francisco, CA
Lea & Braze Engineering, Inc. worked with the Friends of Dolores Park to design a world class children’s playground that spans over 2 acres. The existing historic playground faced many issues such as rundown park features, and severe drainage issues (the existing playground was built over an old swimming pool and had very poor drainage). We developed an improved grading and drainage plan to elevate the overall drainage issues and the tremendous amount of ground water upslope of the new playground. Additional services included: ADA upgrades and accessibility, development of an underground subdrain system to capture runoffs without the need for many traditional inlets, and construction observations.

Most projects require a large team of consultants to bring a project to a successful completion. We strive to be a team player and work with the architect and co-consultants to ensure we meet the project goal.
We coordinate on plans prior to sending projects out to bid. We are also aware that most municipal projects have to keep the needs of general public in mind, that can include ADA accessibility and coordinated efforts for all storm water quality measures.
Lea & Braze Engineering has a long history with municipal projects. We routinely work on municipal projects that include schools, both on remodels and from the ground up to large public playgrounds and parks . In addition, we have completed several fire stations, city/ town halls, public work municipal yards.
With more than 40 years of experience on municipal projects we know the how to complete a quality project. We are goal oriented and will deliver a highly detailed plan which limit request for change orders or RFIs.
